Borehamwood Residential Property
The existing asphalt balconies belonging to this residential property were leaking and allowing water to enter the retail units situated below. As part of the preparation for the project we had to cut away slumped asphalt and take the steps down to bare concrete before installing a new, fully bonded waterproof membrane. Incorporated within the new membrane is skid inhibiting grit, which provides a safe walkway for pedestrians. This system is also suitable for communal walkways and can be guaranteed for 10, 15 or 20 years.
Medical Clinic, Buckinghamshire
Several rooms within this clinic had been put out of use due to the leaking roof, therefore a new waterproofing system was urgently required that could be installed with minimum disruption whilst the building below was in use. A cold installed waterproofing system was ideal due to the health and safety requirements of this project – and a liquid membrane was chosen. Insulation was also added to the roof to help the building meet current Building Regulations. In this instance a 20 year system was provided but 10, 15 and 25 year options are also available.
New Build Project, Harrow
The flat roof of this new building was also to be used as a recreational area, therefore a roof system was required that could accommodate pedestrian traffic and ornamental garden items such as plant pots. For this project we prepared a specification for a whole roof system to waterproof the concreted deck, install insulation, and provide a paved finish. The completed roof is guaranteed for 25 years.
Tank Housings, London
The waterproofing on the tank housings of this roof had reached the end of its useful life and new waterproofing system was required. A liquid membrane was applied to the existing asphalt on all vertical and horizontal surfaces to provide 20 years guaranteed waterproof protection.
Green Roof, London
As part of a refurbishment project on this building, the opportunity was taken to increase the building's environmental credentials and install a sedum based green roof. Not only is this beneficial to the environment, it also improved the view of the gardens from the surrounding buildings. We supplied a full roof system including insulation and the sedum roof, designed to last for the entire life of the building it is installed on. |
